Organisation

EEAE is the national competent regulatory authority in the fields of radiation protection, radiological and nuclear safety. The organisation holds a key role in ensuring the implementation of an integrated radiation protection strategy at national level, which includes, alongside to its regulatory part, aspects, such as the provision of education and training, information dissemination and outreach activities, fostering of safety culture among stakeholders and support of research. EEAE has participated in a number of projects though FP5, FP6 and FP7 (ORAMED, COCAE, PREPARE) as well as in projects funded by DG Energy (Eu-Trimer, DoseDataMed, Images). EEAE is member of various networks; close links to numerous stakeholders in radiation protection in Greece are established.

Role in the project

EEAE participates in 3 work packages. More specifically, in WP0 (Management), WP4 (Assessment and validation of the online dosimetry application in hospitals) and lead WP6 (Dissemination of the project results).
