UPC, is the largest engineering university in Catalonia, Spain. UPC is a public university that carries out research and provides higher education in the fields of architecture, engineering, sciences and technology. According to the H2020 country profile and featured projects for Spain, published in November 2016, by the European Commission (EC), the UPC is the top university and third institution in Spain in terms of income from the EC for H2020 funded projects. The institute of Energy Techniques (INTE) of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia is performing research and technology transfer, organized into four programs that include areas of specialization in ionizing radiation, catalysis and development of materials for energy and environmental applications, physics with neutrons and particle accelerators. The research team of UPC is a multidisciplinary group of senior researchers of the Biomedical Engineering Research Centre (CREB) at UPC, including radiation dosimetry, computer vision and graphic computing fields of expertise.
Role in the project
UPC is leading WP1 for staff movement monitoring and radiation field mapping. UPC is also actively participating in WP2, WP3, WP4 and WP6.
